Faculty

Megan Titensor is a performer and educator based in Seattle, Washington. Previously, she taught in a Suzuki-based program in Cusco, Peru in addition to building her own programs in Salt Lake City, UT and Boulder, CO.
Megan has been invited to teach at many Suzuki institutes and workshops including the International Suzuki Festival (Peru), Live Arts Festival (Mexico), Intermountain Suzuki String Institute (UT), National Cello Institute (CA), Bryce Canyon Music Camp (UT), and DFW-WOW Suzuki Institute (TX).
Megan holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Cello Performance and is an active freelance cellist. As soloist, she was invited as guest artist at the Biennial Cello Festival in Lima, Peru. As an orchestral musician, Megan has played for Ballet West, Boulder Chamber Orchestra, and the Fort Collins Symphony. She has extensive experience in the recording industry, recording for Warner Brothers, PlatinumLab, and MT Pit Broadway Productions. An avid collaborator, Megan has performed chamber music with many small ensembles. She is also an accomplished pianist.
Megan is an active member of the Suzuki community at home and abroad. She has served in many administrative and leadership roles for the Suzuki Association of Utah, Asociación Suzuki del Perú, and the Cello Committee for the Intermountain Suzuki String Institute. Megan has been involved with the SAA Conference team, has authored several articles for the American Suzuki Journal, and has also been a presenter at the SAA Conference and Parents as Partners Online.
Megan spends her leisure time on skis, on a bicycle, or climbing rocks. She is a seasoned traveler and regulates her intense wanderlust by reading many books, exploring new trails, and cooking up exotic food.
