The Michigan Cello Festival is a program of the Michigan chapter of the American String Teachers Association (MASTA). It was started by Marilyn Kesler to bring together cellists from Michigan, surrounding states, and Canada in a learning and performing environment. Teachers from around the country travel to work with attendees.
Any cellist who learns the music on the Repertoire List can attend this festival. Any age is welcome. All music except for cello choir music must be memorized. You do not have to be from Michigan to attend.
All registered cellists will have the opportunity to attend at least three classes, listen to a special performance, and perform in a final recital.
